Dinotica 1.0 Full Launch

Early Access ended 12 August 2026. Here is what the developers said shipped, without inflating the trailer.

Full Launch Notes

Dinotica’s official launch post is unusually specific. This page restates that list so guides elsewhere on the wiki stay aligned. The trailer below is the official 1.0 full-release film. For dated hotfixes, use Patch Notes.

Headline additions

  • A new Dark Forest chapter (Chapter 5).
  • 15 new bosses, including five in Dark Forest.
  • 9 new companions, taking the roster toward 50.
  • Endless Mode expanded from 82 to 200 rooms.
  • Online co-op, on top of local, LAN, and Remote Play Together.
  • More totems, relics, and build combinations.

Launch copy also restates the fantasy: raise 40+ unique dinos (now more), 31+ totems, 70 relics, biomes including Emerald Forest, Lost Sands, Eternal Icefield, and Flame Rift, plus 10+ bosses in older marketing that 1.0’s “75 bosses across five scenes” later outgrew. When numbers clash, prefer the 1.0 post and the live client.

Co-op, as written for launch

  • Local: same screen or LAN. Most players need their own copy.
  • Remote Play Together: only the host buys the game. Upload quality matters.
  • Online: everyone owns a copy. Homes do not need to sync. Meet at the boss room.

Details and the split-screen unlock live on Co-op.

Dark Forest bosses named in press

Traditional Chinese launch coverage described five Chapter 5 encounters: 青焰翼龍 (cyan fire zones), 陵魚 (piercing notes, waves, vulnerability stacks), 墨綠荊魔 (poison bounce density), 冥焰海妖 (area detonations and leaping flame), and 混沌 as the gate. English UI names may differ. Combat tells belong on Dungeons and Bosses.

Launch weeks extras

Steam listed a 25% launch discount from 12–25 August 2026 ($17.99 → $13.49 in the US post). A Launch Weeks challenge asked players to clear Chapter 5, screenshot it, and enter a Google Form for a physical gift box draw (ten winners). That form and those dates can expire. Believe the live Steam news card.

What this does not automatically fix

Breeding can still feel like RNG grind. Rooms are still small. Recommended power can still lie. Particle totems can still crash. 1.0 adds content and online play; it does not rewrite every Early Access critique. The Review holds that tension.

If you are returning from 2025, update the client, walk the hatchery, and run a Casual Emerald Forest room before you jump into Dark Forest because a sale banner yelled. Getting Started is still the loop. Maps is the new chapter list. Companions logs the nine newcomers without invented English names.

The rename from Dino Topia remains in old trailers and press. Same app ID. Same settlement. New forest.

Treat Launch Weeks as a calendar, not a combat guide. A 25% sticker does not change door symbols. A gift-box screenshot contest does not change dung. If you only have one evening, spend it on Getting Started plus one Casual biome boss rather than racing Dark Forest for a form that may already be closed. Returning Early Access saves should still work; walk the hatchery, confirm hunting slots, and re-read fruit rules from Patch Notes before you dump Stat Fruit into a leftover worker.

Online co-op being new does not make it a tutorial skip. Host in Emerald Forest or Lost Sands until both riders can read shots. Split-screen still needs the second battle slot. Remote Play Together still needs upload. Those three sentences are the entire launch-week co-op briefing; the rest is on the co-op page.

If a friend asks whether 1.0 is “worth it after a quiet EA year,” send the Review rather than this list. This page is a packing slip. The review is the argument.

Does 1.0 include online co-op?

Yes. Local, Remote Play Together, and online are all listed. Homes do not merge online.

That is the official launch figure, up from 82.
