Dinotica Tier List Hub
Rank the job, not a made-up Pokédex. Combat, workers, and totem stacks each get their own list.
A honest Dinotica tier list cannot name all fifty companions with invented English titles. Official English copy is thin on individual stats, and patch notes only spotlight a handful of kits. This hub ranks roles and verified examples instead of pretending we datamined a complete meta.
Three lists, three jobs
Open the Combat Tier List when you need a rider and two AI partners who will not freeze in a doorway. Open the Worker Tier List when leather, crops, and hunts matter more than a special attack. Open Totem Builds when the dinosaurs are fine and the modifiers are the actual run.
Those three pages link to each other because a top-tier rider who never eats is a failed settlement, and a perfect farm that cannot clear Emerald Forest is a screensaver.
How we rank
Sources: Steam reviews, 1.10.x patch notes, launch coverage, and the store’s own totem/relic counts. Named combat kits we will actually mention include Vexora, Gluttony, and Kapi Bee from skill patch notes, plus the wall-dropping biome-two example from a long positive review. 1.0’s nine newcomers are listed on Companions with Traditional Chinese names when English strings are unpublished. We will not fabricate Western nicknames to fill an S-tier row.
Movement speed is the invisible S-tier stat. Several veterans put it above raw damage. If two kits feel equal, buy speed.
How to use a list without wrecking a save
Read Getting Started before you reroll a perfectly readable starter. Rankings assume 1.0 is live, including Dark Forest density. If a patch nerfs a projectile interval — Vexora’s barrage already got a speed buff in 1.10.1 — the combat page will say so. Until then, treat every row as a recommendation for the current chapter you cannot clear, not a lifetime sentence.
Pair this hub with the Team Builder so you do not seat three S-tier riders and zero workers. Pair it with How to Breed so duplicates of a high row become stars instead of crib clutter.
What a tier list will not do
It will not replace door-reading in Dungeons and Bosses. It will not fix workbench throughput; that is Farm and Base. It will not make recommended power honest. If the game feels trivial after two synergies, that is a documented balance complaint, not a failure to pick SS tier.
Come back when a new chapter lands or when patch notes mention a species by name. For flavour and biomes, use the Wiki instead of this hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers drawn from the current 1.0 build.
Why is there no complete 50-dino ranking?
English sources do not publish a full stat sheet. Ranking unverified names would be fiction.
Which list should I open first?
Combat if rooms kill you. Workers if the town is broke. Totem builds if the party is fine and the modifiers are not.
Do tiers change after 1.0?
Yes. Dark Forest kits and future patches can move a row. Check patch notes when a named skill is tuned.
